Seakeeper 1 Short Description
To bring stabilization to boats as small as 23 feet, we knew we had to break the mold. The new Seakeeper 1 features a flush mount design for easier installation, runs exclusively on 12V DC power, and can be installed virtually anywhere on board.
Seakeeper 1 Detailed Specifications
Seakeeper 1 Features
The optional Seakeeper 1 Deck Mount Enclosure enables the Seakeeper 1 to be installed in a non-enclosed space. Without the optional enclosure, the Seakeeper 1 needs to be installed in a covered location (e.g. in an enclosed leaning post, bilge, or console) to protect it from salt, water, and sun. Now, boats with open-framed leaning posts can have Seakeeper stabilization.
Seakeeper weighs only a small fraction of the boat’s displacement, and it eliminates up to 95% of boat roll and the danger, fatigue, anxiety, and seasickness that go with it. Unlike traditional fins, Seakeeper 1 is completely internal and can be installed virtually anywhere.
Seakeeper 1 patented cooling system allows the flywheel to spin at an extremely high rate of speed, providing ultimate performance in the smallest and lightest package possible.
Vacuum encapsulation of Seakeeper 1 enables the flywheel to spin roughly three times faster, cuts flywheel weight by two-thirds and halves power requirements. Moreover, because the critical components (flywheel, bearings, and motor) are sealed in a vacuum, they are isolated from the marine environment.
Seakeeper 1 active control optimizes gyro torque, providing an unsurpassed level of performance. Unlike a passively controlled gyro, which must be turned off in the roughest conditions and/or at higher speeds, the Seakeeper is effective at all speeds and can be used in all sea conditions.
Control your Seakeeper 1 with the push of a button on our new user-friendly dash display. Not only is the display simple to use, but it integrates into your existing dash units for optimal performance.
