Warranties

From 2018, Prestige Yachts is proud to offer its customers a new extended international warranty!

Prestige wants to lead the way, driven by the need to give his customers more peace of mind. The general warranty, which was for 2 years up until now, is now longer and better for all boats handed over from September 1, 2018. It is applicable to all Prestige boats. Wherever owners might be boating, they can now benefit from this worldwide coverage through our international dealer network.

General warranty: 3 years

This exclusive manufacturer’s warranty covers parts, labour and the majority of components. PRESTIGE dealer network is well trained to handle owners’ requests in the most efficient manner possible.

Blister warranty: 5 years

The use of a specific barrier coat resin minimizes hull blistering caused by hydrolysis. This know-how allows PRESTIGE to offer a five-year warranty against this occurrence.

Structural warranty: 7 years

Due to their naval design expertise and unique industrial savoir-faire, PRESTIGE is now able to warrant the structure of their new boats for seven years. The repair of manufacturing defects on the hull and deck, as recognized by technical services, are covered by this new warranty.

Key Points

  1. Boats manufactured by the shipyard are built according to the highest standards. Confident in their expertise, PRESTIGE is able to offer this new warranty.
  2. This warranty is international and each owner benefits from the PRESTIGE dealer network. With 350 dealerships in 60 countries, warranty work can be performed anywhere in the world.
  3. The 7-5-3 warranty is transferable to future owners. Upon resale, a PRESTIGE boat will still benefit from its warranty if it is still applicable.
  4. Periodic inspections required will reduce the overall cost of maintenance. The resale value of the boat will be higher, as a result of these regular inspections

Environmental Impact

PRESTIGE is actively committed to the preservation of the marine ecosystem. Firstly, to manufacture the fibreglass for its yachts, PRESTIGE has chosen injection moulding, which traps solvents and prevents the release of volatile organic compounds into the air. In varnishing, PRESTIGE uses clean technology with a very low level of solvents (just 4%, from 60% previously) and curing by UV lamps. Finally, each new PRESTIGE yacht benefits from standard equipment designed to protect nature, whether at sea or at port. PRESTIGE is an ISO 14001 certified brand. This international environmental standard is testimony to our commitment to preserve marine biodiversity. Additionally, PRESTIGE is ISO 9001 certified, an international quality standard certifying the production procedures of our yachts. Each new PRESTIGE yacht undergoes thorough testing throughout its construction phase, followed by additional tank tests, during which all systems are finely tuned.
